Our Mission
The mission of the American Society of Highway Engineers is to provide a forum for members and partners of the highway industry to promote a safe, efficient and sustainable highway system through education, innovation and fellowship.
ASHE Williamsport
The Williamsport Section functions as the backbone of the American Society of Highway Engineers & a pivotal player in the Transportation Industry within the state of Pennsylvania.
We are a community & network of skilled engineers that oversee construction projects in the city of Williamsport, PA, and the greater area of PennDOT District 3.

Above features the 9 Counties and 4500 miles of roadway that ASHE Williamsport oversees & discusses among its members.

Why Join ASHE?
The local Section/Region is the most important element for ASHE to satisfy the goals of our Mission Statement. While some uniformity in Section/Region operations is essential, membership and custom difference between Sections/Regions are recognized. These become the strength of ASHE. Public employees are welcome to join, and are a particularly vital segment of our membership.
What Our Members Say
“ASHE provides a venue for individuals from different entities within our industry to interact in a relaxed and friendly environment.”
What Our Members Say
“Although I maintain memberships in numerous professional societies, ASHE is the only one that does not restrict membership. Construction inspectors, suppliers, contractors, consultant CADD operators, administrative assistants, and highway engineers can all be members of ASHE, and the annual dues are very reasonable. The monthly dinner meetings are always interesting, and the fellowship is second to none!”
